Deputy Brian Williams was checking area churches in the early morning hours of July 13, 2016, and found an individual at a church in the McNeil area of the county. The door to a building at the church was found open. The individual found at the church was identified as Lawezleon Davis, 44, of Magnolia, who has been to prison for breaking into churches.  He is also a suspect in the other church burglaries we have had in our area and the surrounding counties. Davis has been charged with Commercial Burglary and Theft of Property under $1,000. His first appearance will be done as soon as possible.
