Two suspects were apprehended on Friday, July 7 in reference to the burglary and arson that occurred at Mount Superior Baptist Church on June 26.  

Montie King, 40, of Magnolia, and Tiffany Welch, 38, of Emerson, were arrested on Friday after the investigation indicated their involvement. Both are charged with commercial burgalary and arson with bonds set at $100,000. They are awaiting first appearance at the Columbia County Detention Facility.

Mount Superior Baptist Church is located at 901 Columbia Road 82 East in the Macedonia community of Columbia county. The church suffered a total loss.

Stolen items from the church were recovered.

The Columbia County Sheriff's Office is investigating with the assistance of Arkansas State Police Company C agents. The investigation is ongoing. 

Shane Groves, 45 of Magnolia, was arrested on July 7, Friday evening, and charged with commercial burglary and arson with a bond set at $150,000. He is awaiting first appearance and will be housed at the Columbia County Detention Facility.
